Books I’ve Read and Loved, Part Nine

I should really update the title of this to “Books I’ve Read and Listened To and Loved”. As much as I love the physical act of reading and getting sucked into a book, it is much easier for me to listen to books in this current phase of life. I like to listen while getting ready in the morning, driving, doing laundry, etc. Here are some books I’ve read or listened to and enjoyed lately.

Daisy Jones and The Six

by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I loved this one! It was such a fun experience to listen to because there were so many different characters and voices to follow. I found myself getting really invested in the story and feeling like I knew the characters!

I listened to this for the book club that I’m in and I really enjoyed it. Admittedly, I played the audio on 1.4x speed to get through it a bit quicker, but it was a nice change from the books I typically read/listen to. I think it has an important message and inspired me to reflect a bit on my own life and marriage.

I loved this one so much! It was just a good romance/chick lit type of listen that made me happy.

by Christina Lauren

I’m a big fan of Christina Lauren novels and this was no exception. It took me a few chapters to really get into the story, but then it was a feel-good listen.

by Katherine Center

This was my first KC novel and I enjoyed it! A little predictable, sure, but it made me smile as I listened to it. It’s an easy listen that is lighthearted.
