The Twins’ Nursery Design

It’s hard for me to believe it, but we’re in full-on baby prep mode! We’ve still (hopefully) got a couple months to go, but based on how much my belly is growing, I’m feeling the need to take advantage of my energy and mobility right now to do what I can to prep for their arrival. Liam is moving from the nursery into a big boy room, so the babies will be taking over the nursery. We will have them share a room until it doesn’t work for us & them or they get old enough to express that they would like different rooms. We have enough bedrooms that all three kids can have their own room one day, so eventually this nursery will become a “big girl” or “big boy” room for one of them.

Here’s my plan for their nursery:

Cribs // Glider Chair // Bookshelf // Mirror // Alphabet Art // Numbers Art // Curtains // Baby Goat Art // Giraffe Art // Standing Lamp // Faux Olive Tree // Tree Basket // Paint Color

The great thing about using the existing nursery is that there isn’t a whole lot to do to it! We already have curtains, one crib, a glider, and some artwork in there. We will do a different furniture arrangement than how it is now and add a second crib. Other than that, I’ll add a few different accessories and pieces of art to finish it out! It should come together pretty quickly, which will be nice. My mom has offered to paint and help me with an accent wall design. We’re going to do something like this on one of the walls. I’m still deciding on a paint color, but I think I want to add in a little pop of color, but still keep it pretty neutral. Either a really soft blue-grey or a subtle peachy-orange. I’m still deciding on that, but I think it will be nice to have something a little different in there.

The goal is to have it done before the babies are born and I think we can do it! I will share the finished product once we complete it!
