Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas

While I don’t do a ton of DIY gifts, there are so many wonderful ideas out there! Whether you need a gift idea for your neighbors, teachers, a gift exchange, or your closest loved ones, a DIY gift is so meaningful. You can usually make them fairly inexpensively, too!

Here are three ideas for DIY gifts to make this season:

Lavender Bath Soak

What You’ll Need

How To Make It

  1. Mix together 2 cups of epsom salt, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, a few sprinkles of dried lavender, and as many drops of lavender essential oil as desired (I do around a tablespoon).
  2. Once mixes, scoop into jars, put on lids, and lightly shake. This will allow the soak to settle together so you can add in more to completely fill the jars.
  3. Add a cute gift tag and label or use the label below.

Vanilla Sugar

What You’ll Need

How To Make It

  1. Scrape the seeds out of the inside of the vanilla bean (use the seeds of roughly one vanilla bean for every 2 cups of white sugar).
  2. Add the sugar and vanilla bean seeds into a food processor or blender and pulse until combined (you can also hand whisk them).
  3. Add into a jar with a gift tag or use the label below.

Dipping Oil

What You’ll Need

How To Make It

  1. Pour olive oil into each of the dispenser bottles.
  2. Add between 1/8 to 1/2 a cup of your preferred seasoning blend to each of the spice bags and loop around the dispenser bottle.
  3. Add a gift tag or use the label below.

You can also include a loaf of french bread, focaccia, sourdough, etc. for dipping when you give this gift!
