Fake Nail Comparison

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been on a little bit of a journey with fake nails. I usually just polish my nails myself, but love to add a little length with a fake nail! I’ve tried a few different brands (and will continue testing them out) so far, so I thought I would share my thoughts.

Static Nails

Type: Glue-on (glue comes separate)

3.6/5

PROS

-Pretty easy to apply

-Fit my nails perfectly - couldn't even tell they weren't my natural nail

-Nails were very durable and on the thicker side

-Loved the color and design options

CONS

-Some glue got on the surrounding skin/nails

-Had to trim and shape them to make them more realistic for my lifestyle

TOTAL WEAR TIME: 4 DAYS

(one popped off so I decided to remove the rest)

Kiss imPRESS

Type: press-on (stickers come on nail)

4.2/5

PROS

-Very easy to apply

-Needed very minimal filing

-Fit was pretty good, though not perfect

-Durable

CONS

-Fit could've been a little better

-Nails were pretty thin

TOTAL WEAR TIME: 4 DAYS

(one popped off so I decided to remove the rest)

Kiss Gel Fantasy

Type: press-on (stickers included)

1.3/5

PROS

-Somewhat easy to apply

CONS

-Requires you to troubleshoot what sticker size to use

-Required trimming and filing to get to the right length/ shape

-Stickers didn't fit fully across my entire nail which left certain areas not secure

TOTAL WEAR TIME: 2 DAYS

(ended up removing them because they weren't a good fit)

Glamnetic Nails

Type: Glue-On (Glue included)

4.5/5

PROS

-Easy to apply (once you're familiar with glueing nails on)

-Fit my natural nails really well

-Durable

-After removal, my nails did not feel weak or brittle and had no obvious signs of damage

CONS

-A bit more pointy than I prefer (I like a more rounded tip)

TOTAL WEAR TIME: 5 DAYS

(could've gotten another couple days out of them, but had to remove them for a project I was working on!)
