1. Loft Everyday V-Neck Tee, White
Price Point: $26.50 (currently an additional 50% off)
Material: 100% cotton
Fit: I’m wearing a small, which is my typical size in tops. This one fits quite loose, so I could’ve definitely done the XS. I like the longer sleeves, though I would prefer them a bit more fitted. It does have a slight scoop hem, which is flattering!
Final Thoughts: This is a good, casual tee to have. It feels a little reminiscent of Hanes v-necks, which were so “cool” to wear when I was a freshman in college. While it is a fine shirt, I like other options better.
2. Target Short Sleeve V-Neck T-Shirt, White
Price Point: $8 (currently on sale for $6)
Material: 100% cotton
Fit: I’m wearing a small. This one was more fitted around the hips and looser at the top, so sizing was a little tricky. The thickness of the shirt is nice – you don’t have to worry about it being sheer. I didn’t like that it doesn’t drape nicely. The v is not too low, so that’s a plus!
Final Thoughts: I wouldn’t recommend this one. While it is only $8, I think it would be worth spending another $10 to get a better quality/fitting tee!
3. Z Supply Jersey Pocket Tee, White
Price Point: $40 ($119 for pack of 3)
Material: 95% rayon, 5% spandex
Fit: I’m wearing a small. These tees are so soft and have a great drape to them, however they are the type of material that will cling to your body, potentially exposing insecurities in your midsection. I love the loose pocket and the longer, fitted sleeves. This is a tee that I wear with leggings or layered under sweaters/sweatshirts, due to it’s tunic length
Final Thoughts: It’s pricey for a tee! I’m a t-shirt girl, so cost per wear ends up equaling out for me with this one. If you’re looking for a great quality layering tee, I would consider this one!
4. Madewell Cotton V-Neck Pocket Tee, Optic White
Price Point: $19.50
Material: 100% cotton
Fit: I’ve had this exact tee for years, so this is an XS (versus a S, which all the other tees here are). That said, it fits true to size. It’s more fitted than the other options, which I like because it can be worn very casually or dressed up a little bit. It allows my figure to show a bit, versus being hidden under a loose tee. I really love that the v is not too low – I never have to think about it when I’m bending over!
Final Thoughts: This is a closet staple tee! It’s been a go-to for years and is one I’d recommend to anybody!
